As busy entrepreneurs it’s often difficult to find the time to make a good, hearty, healthy home-cooked meal. If you are anything like me, you want to have ALL the ingredients to make the perfect meal … or else you won’t make it. It’s hard to find the time to shop for groceries, marinate, prep, cook, and then (the part I hate the most) clean up.
But there are things you can do to make a quick healthy meal that much easier.
You can buy frozen wild fish to always keep healthy omega-3 laden protein handy!
You can buy yourself a steamer (I use this Oster steamer – cheap and handy and you can buy on Amazon here):
A steamer can cook your meals in 10 minutes! Just throw everything in and voila, you got a healthy meal in 10 minutes.
Always great to have fresh leafy greens in your fridge. If you are a busy person like I am, going for a regular delivery service like Fresh Direct can guarantee you ALWAYS have veggies handy. You would just need to spend about 5 minutes washing the veggies (sometimes you need to soak them for 2 minutes to get rid of dirt) and then chopping them up to your desired size.
And finally, your carbohydrate component. In this dish I used brown rice. I always have a jar of small grain brown rice. And cooking it is super easy when you invest in a rice cooker. Just rinse the brown rice, fill the rice cooker with water, press the button and let it cook. This is the rice cooker I have:
All in all, this took less than 30 minutes to prep and then cook.
Then comes the presentation… I have a very artsy and creative side to me (being a Pisces and a lefty may play a role LOL) and so I like to display my food as a form of art.
Cooking can be quick, fun, creative, DELICIOUS and most importantly, HEALTHY!
